THE SAVVY BRIDE was founded in 2011 by Lindy Adams to bring beautiful and fashionable wedding gowns to Oklahoma City at amazing prices. After three very successful years selling new, sample and pre-owned gowns, The Savvy Bride OKC closed to retail sales in fall 2014.
We now only sell our beautiful gowns on consignment through The Formal Niche Bridal and Formal, Yukon, OK. The Formal Niche is an excellent salon, and owners Courtney and Connie would love to work with you. Please see all their information on Facebook.
We learned while operating The Savvy Bride OKC a great secret to wedding gown success. That is, that wedding gowns can be washed and dried at home with excellent results if the gown is 100% polyester. Most gowns today are. The results are amazing!
In 2017 we published a great how-to guide “YES, YOU CAN WASH YOUR WEDDING GOWN AT HOME” that is 40-pages long and covers every aspect of washing and drying your gown at your own home. You can save 100s of dollars using our method instead of dry cleaning!

Do you buy dresses if someone brings them into the store?

Hello, I just learned about your store and I was very excited! I had a few questions. Do you ever get name brand dresses? I would love to get a Vera Wang, but the price is not my friend :) It doesn’t have to be one, I was just wondering if you ever got things like that in? Also, I know you are having a close out sale, but I was wondering if you were taking appointments before that at normal prices?

Hi Emily, Thanks so much for your message. I do have some gowns like Mori Lee, Maggie Sottero, Jasmine, Allure, Blue by Enzoani, Bonnie, Ella – but honestly, not a whole lot of those. The majority of mine are David’s Bridal, or David’s brands: Oleg Cassini / Galina / Monique Luo, and I carry some gorgeous gowns that David’s has discontinued.
Do you live in OKC or the OKC area? We are taking a few brides before the sale to fit a few more brides in, and I could book you between Jan. 2-10th if you’d want to do that. You’d receive the 20% off on a gown, and $35 in free accessories like veils and headpieces. Our salon is in our home near N.W. 23rd and Penn in OKC.

I have three dresses my daughter wore for a few hours. I paid over $300 each for them and she is leaving to college. Im just trying to get her a little extra money for books and school. Please let me know if we can bring them to show. They are in good condition. She is 5’6″ and the dresses are size 6. One homecoming, one Ms. Del City and the other gorgeous dress for prom.

P.S. Melidda, I do have a VERY few gowns here at my house. Send me your size, your height and the style/look you are looking for, and I can tell you if I have anything here that’s a possibility. These gowns would be less expensive, on the whole, than those at Formal Niche or elsewhere.
